I wrote a new song called "This Is The Time" about a month ago. Like all my songs, the music came first. The song was inspired by conversations I had with a friend of mine. We were talking about how one of our biggest fears is the fear of being forgotten. After we're gone, life will keep on going. Life keeps going with or without us. What matters, it's what we were able to do with our time as living creatures. This song was written to me from me. At the time I was playing around with this idea, I was really down, almost constantly in a depressive state. This song was about me telling myself to get up and start living. As always, you might listen to the song on my music player here on Jesseacosta.com. And for the first time, you may download the song here. (Right-click and select Save Link As)

This is the time to begin to find out
This is the time you don't need to cry
Falling away I'm falling away
This is the time to take it with you
This is the time don't wait for a sign
This is the time to begin to fall down
Way down, way down, way down
Sometimes, sometimes it's you
Sometimes, sometimes it's you
This is the time to be forgotten
This is the time don't stand up on sand
Fading away, I'm fading away
This is the time please don't fall to pieces
This is the time don't ask for the time
This is the time to begin to rise up
Way high, way high, way high
Sometimes, sometimes it's you
Sometimes, sometimes it's you
Sometimes, sometimes it's you
Sometimes, sometimes it's you
I see you now, you're young
I see you now, you're gone

Pretty nice song. You are very talented!
The only things that remain forever are the memories. And so that those memories be good when we are no longer here, we need to invest on them while we are still here. Nothing comes automatically, everything has a price. The question is… “Am I willing to pay this price?” If yes, I need to start asking myself “what do I need to do to make an impact on the people close to me?” First, my family because family always comes first. Then, my friends, co-workers, the community and the rest of the world. When we find the reason to do all this and the strength to pay the price, we will not fear being forgotten. Just remember, there is always someone that needs us and we always need others.
