Ruta Maya

It's 6:20 PM on Thursday November 6th.  I'm sitting typing this blog at Ruta Maya in downtown San Antonio.  We've discovered this place, and has become a regular hang-out on Thursday night.  So, if you'd like to meet me, or enjoy a good cup of coffee (and food), please drop by next week.  You can find more information at www.rutamayariverwalk.com. We started coming here because my friend and I started working on something other than music.  I can't say anything more at this point, but it's going to be exciting.  That's also the reason why I haven't posted new music, or new videos...or new short stories!  But hopefully, once this thing we're working on rolls out, you'll be glad I spent all this time working on that.

Back to Ruta Maya.  I don't know much about the history of this place, but I do know that they roast and distribute their own coffee.  I believe they import coffee beans from the Yucatan peninsula (which I have visited by the way), and they roast it in Austin TX.  I had bought their coffee beans at a local grocery, and was impressed by the coffee.  Then one day while looking for a hang-out place to start working on my secret project, my friend found out that they owned two coffee bars, one in Austin, and one in San Antonio.  We kind of fell in love with the place, so here I am, at Ruta Maya in downtown San Antonio, getting ready to order a Mexican Mocha, some food, and start working on my secret project.

See you next week...at Ruta Maya!
